LaparoscopicInstruments
Endoscopic Trocar
Nowadays, laparoscopic surgery is increasingly developing due to its reduction in postoperative complications, lower postoperative pain, better aesthetic outcomes, quicker return to daily life, lower diagnostic and treatment costs, and shorter hospital stays. It is widely used for various diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
Cannula
Each trocar consists of two parts: the cannula and the mandrin. The mandrins typically have a sharp end for penetrating fascia, muscle, and peritoneum. The tips of the mandrins come in various shapes, including pyramidal, conical, sharp, and blunt, depending on their intended use. After the trocar is inserted, the mandrin is removed, leaving the outer sheath through which instruments and telescopes pass.
Obturator
Each trocar consists of two parts: the cannula and the aperture (or mandrin). The mandrins typically have a sharp end for penetrating fascia, muscle, and peritoneum. The tips of the mandrins come in various shapes, including pyramidal, conical, sharp, and blunt, depending on their intended use. Verta mandrins are available in pencil, bladed, and pyramidal forms.
Mayomascrew
The Mayomascrew is a surgical tool designed for gynecological procedures, used permanently for the removal of myomas, fibroids, and other tissues. It is also utilized for excising fibroid tissues from the endometrium during myomectomy procedures.
Vaginal and Rectal Probe
Complex surgeries involving pelvic adhesions, endometriosis, and laparoscopic hysterectomy require precise localization and visualization of both the vaginal and rectal structures. Surgical rectal and vaginal probes provide the surgeon with a greater field of view.
Sizer
The sizer is a circular stapler tool used to select the appropriate and correct size of the circular stapler in various colorectal surgeries.
Valve and Washer
The valve and washer are disposable instruments used in permanent trocars, placed inside the trocar to prevent the escape of carbon dioxide gas from the abdominal cavity during the insertion and removal of laparoscopic surgical instruments. They consist of two parts: the valve and the washer, both of which, when positioned in the trocar, complementarily seal the airway from the abdominal cavity.
Uterine Manipulator
The uterine manipulator is a unique system in laparoscopic surgeries that provides the highest level of efficiency and safety for users. Surgeons experience optimal visibility and maximum control over the uterus when working with the manipulator, allowing them complete access to the pelvic anatomy.
